FEBRUARY 2011 ~ ICE & SNOW

 Two days of Ice and 2 days of snow!  Dallas didn't want the visitors for the SUPER BOWL to feel homesick.  So the Texas weather showed off its winter storm.  Ice and snow Texas style.  The Wisconsin sportscasters warned the visitors to "Prepare like you would for a Wisconsin spring."  LOVE IT!

After 4 days of 4 walls, Charles and I ventured out!  We went to play with Aslynn and give Ali a small break.  (So she could take a shower.  Remember those days?)  LOVE her new hat!!  Precious!

WE are sooo good!  Instead of fries we brought orange slices!!

 Alison is into vintage so I thought I would teach Aslynn a trick Ali LOVED doing and would do for hours!!  We now call it a MiMi back flip.  I think Aslynn calls it "do it again?"

LESSONS FROM THE BEACH

Our vision was to recreate our San Diego trip last year.  I feel God took us even further in our journey this year.  My time on the beach was very spiritual, healing and motivating.  I am so blessed to be able to "listen to Him" in such a beautiful setting!

MK LEADERSHIP

It's true, we did drive into Houston for great education and motivation.  Therefore I get to claim the trip for tax deductions.  I have the pictures to prove it!

KAHALA BEACH

WOW!  A 3 story beach house with an elevator and every room having a porch or deck to visit!  We used all of them!!  My sister Melinda came and spent the best Sunday ever.  We played on the beach, hunted for shells and even went to San Luis Pass for more shells.  IT IS ALWAYS AN ADVENTURE WHEN WE ARE TOGETHER!!  She makes me laugh sooo hard.  She is always so creative, and it makes it so fun to be with her.  Never a dull moment!  Melinda is also a fabulous cook and made BEACH SOUP and CORN BREAD.  Yum! Yum!

HOUSTON, WE HAVE A PARTY

Well actually the party was in Galveston.  Kahala beach to be exact.  Michelle came in from California, the rest of us from DFW area.  We celebrated Michelle's 40th Birthday.  My favorite part~ getting to run on the beach every morning even if it was freezing or below.  Finding the best shells ever!  Being with my best Mary Kay girlfriends!  Iron sharpens iron!

MY THREE SONS ~

Kyle, Shaun & Zoei - my three sons!  I love that Kyle, his best friend Shaun and his best dawg Zoei can chill at our house.  That's what coming home at Christmas is for!

Love the personal growth my unlimited Mary Kay opportunity brings!  Had the privilege of attending a workshop led by world famous NSDE Judy Rohde.  I am so proud to call her my friend, coach and mentor.  It is always an adventure when we are together!!

10 YEAR ANNIVERSARY ~ CANCER FREE

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

This is a very significant New year for me.  Ten years ago I celebrated my year of getting through chemo and radiation.  This is my 10th full year of being cancer free.  My favorite part?  Seeing Dr. Khan literally jump for joy and keep patting me on the back telling me what a good job I had done and congratulations.  

Actually, I thought, what a good job you had done Dr. Khan!  

He said, then this cancer will not come back!  GOD IS GOOD!!!  

Thank you Father!

So I called up my good friend DeDe and asked if we could have my CELEBRATION PARTY at her house!  Wayne and DeDe had my 1 year celebration at their house as well!  Like a true friend she said YES!!  So we partied with Russ and Diane, Jill and Dan, DeDe and Wayne and of course Charles and Katie!

We almost missed New Year's because we were playing a hysterical game - OUTRAGEOUS QUESTIONS!  Great for the whole family!

Charles enjoyed the spiked whip cream in his coffee and Jill's coffee 

and where ever he could spray it!!
